Saying YES

Let me just start by getting this out there...I don't know anything...and I certainly don't know anything for sure.  PHEW! Feels so much better to get that out of the way. All of this is not about me telling some absolutes, or trying to persuade you to think the way I do. It is just about me sharing what's on my heart so that maybe you'll feel lighter and more connected. Maybe you'll know more readily that you are loved no matter what. That's my hope, that by sharing the words on my heart with you we can become more connected, with each other and with God.

In a time when we find ourselves more alone, more divided, and more isolated than ever before, the call for community needs to be at the center of our hearts and homes. I can't be in everyone's home or live in everyone's neighborhood, but I can use my words to help us all feel more connected.

There is profound power when we come together. Perspectives shift, lives change and our burdens are shared. That's why I have decided it is time to say "yes" in my life. What am I saying yes to?

It is a YES to using my voice to help others feel part of the larger community of our world. YES to focusing on the small and big things we can do together to change the world. YES to saying the things on my heart out loud. YES to sharing my writing even when it is scary. YES to knowing that  we have been given gifts for a reason and it is up to us to figure out how to use them.

I have an opportunity to share my words and so I'm saying YES. I hope you'll come on this journey with me. I have experienced how the connected human spirt can move us to live lives that are more present and less heavy. There is a divinity in the collective and so we must share this journey together.  It is in the collective human experiences that you can feel the divine most readily. And so, my great hope with my YES, is that TOGETHER we can experience more peace, joy and love. That the words I share can help us wonder, explore and grow together.
